Project Vision
This projects vision is to have each of you create at least one 6”x6” collage on vinyl transparent paper that I supply. Each finished collage will then hang amongst the others from fishing line. Collectively we will create one art installation filling an entire room that merges history while creating history.
Over 7 years ago, Mad.E found over 360 National Geographic magazines 1982-2016 on the side of the road. The decision has been to open the project to the public. For each and everybody to create a collage. Gathering families and gathering friends. Sifting through photographed memories from around the world with folks we may not know. We get to know as we cut and paste to show a little of our taste. If we create only 10 collages from one book, from one month, from one year, then we will end up with AT LEAST 4,080 collages that will hang collectively fitting these pieces together as a puzzle.
360 magazines is alot of paper.
I predict there to be over 10,000 collages.
